34 to go

Ok, so we've officially begun the countdown to my exeunt stage left from the 18-34 demographic. So far, I've written some sub-par poetry about New York City, and made a list of 35 things I'd like to accomplish in the next, now, 34 days. Also, I did 35 pushups on the corner of my bed last night (which is the only place I can really fit the length of my body for a pushup in my NYC bedroom), so there's that. I assume something more exciting will happen as I post, and document my 35 to 35 list. Woot. Bean of the day: Jelly.

Here we go!

Countdown: 47 days Ok, so this is it - an official countdown to being older. PLANNING PHASE COMMENCE! Some disclaimers... I realize that: a) These days, people live long enough that 35 is perhaps not technically middle aged, but for several reasons - including the fact that I prefer the diction of the phrase "middle aged" - we're going to stick with this title. b) technically, assuming one's life will be any particular length is hopeful, but not necessarily realistic. enter morbidity. I think that's a sign of middle age, no? I've decided to make use of social media to make this countdown unique and exciting. At 29, I tried "30 days til 30" and attempted to learn or do something new every day. It was interesting enough, but didn't really have any focus or oomph behind it, and it kind of fizzled. This one should be better. Also, since Lent is over before I need to begin, there aren't very many limitations to the adventure. I'm looking for interesting, unusual, ambitious and possibly even bizarre things to accomplish in 35 days. That said, all suggestions should please be legal and G or PG rated; my family may be reading this. All of those pesky rules out of the way? Great. Good. Wonderful. NO YELLING ON THE BUS! Let the brainstorming commence.
